I did the cover art for the Fall 2015 Issue of FINDINGS Volume 31, Number 1–the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health magazine. I worked with graphic designer, Don Hammond of Don Hammond Designs. I was working with this statement from the editor, Leslie Stainton, “The visual focus of the cover illustration will be on ideas, creativity, inspiration, innovation, etc., in general, rather than on specific public health ideas or issues.” I decided to work with the concept of how an idea is formed and how creative energy moves through the body energetically. I supplied the cover art in the form of a collage for The Ideas Issue and Don did the graphic design. This gallery shows a few of the beginning stages, the final art, and the published magazine cover.
